Cushion Cover Care Guide
Your Vaymere Homes cushion covers are made using a combination of decorative fabrics, trims, stitching, and finishing details. Proper care will help preserve their texture, color, and appearance.
Always review any product-specific care instructions provided with your order, as materials may differ between designs.
General Care
- Remove cushion inserts before cleaning.
- Spot clean gently using a soft, clean cloth lightly dampened with cool water.
- Blot stains rather than rubbing them, as rubbing may damage the texture or spread the stain.
- Use only a small amount of mild, color-safe detergent when necessary.
- Test any cleaning solution on a hidden area before treating a visible section.
- Do not use bleach or harsh cleaning chemicals.
- Do not soak the cushion covers.
- Do not machine wash unless the individual product instructions specifically state that machine washing is permitted.
- Do not tumble dry.
- Allow the covers to air dry naturally in a shaded, well-ventilated area.
- Reshape the cover gently while it is drying.
Decorative Trims and Buckles
Some Vaymere Homes designs include PU leather-style accents, raised trims, piping, straps, or buckle details.
- Wipe leather-style accents gently with a soft damp cloth.
- Do not scrub, soak, or apply detergent directly to decorative trims.
- Do not iron directly over straps, buckles, piping, or decorative elements.
- Keep buckle details dry after cleaning.
- Avoid pulling or placing unnecessary pressure on decorative straps and trims.
Ironing
- Use low heat only when appropriate for the fabric.
- Iron from the reverse side whenever possible.
- Place a clean cloth between the iron and the cushion cover.
- Never iron directly over PU leather accents, raised trims, or buckle details.
Everyday Maintenance
- Use a soft lint roller or fabric brush to remove surface dust.
- Rotate and reposition cushions occasionally to encourage even wear.
- Keep covers away from prolonged direct sunlight, which may gradually fade some fabrics.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture, smoke, strong perfume, pet hair, and rough surfaces.
- Store clean and completely dry covers inside a breathable protective pouch.
Important Note
Improper washing, bleaching, soaking, excessive heat, or the use of harsh chemicals may permanently damage the fabric or decorative details.
